May 17, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China unveiled the official rating of the cryptocurrency. According to the data, Ethereum took the first place in the list, while Bitcoin got the 13th place out of 28.
According to information provided by cnLedger, according to Chinese experts, Ethereum, Steem, Lisk, NEO, and Komodo took the corresponding places in the list of the top 5 coins.
As it became known, the list of 28 tokens was only the first part and the government intentionally expanded it by including other tokens and Blockchain projects there. For the first time, the rating was announced during a conference in Beijing earlier this month.
“First-rate domestic experts and scholars” contributed to the ratings, which they calculated on the basis of three indexes: “technology,” “application” and “innovation.”
It is worth noting that Ethereum was highly praised for all three parameters. At the same time, Bitcoin received very low scores in the field of technology and applications.
“The results show that the typical representative of the second-generation blockchain technology is Ethereum’s technology assessment index.”
It is worth noting that many international experts and users absolutely disagree with the assessment put by Bitcoin by the Chinese government.
