On June 12, the Singapore company VeChain Foundation published a message saying that VeChain (VEN) and logistics company DB Schenker created a Blockchain-system that allows checking suppliers.
The decentralized application (DApp) was created on the basis of Blockchain VeChainThor. The application will collect information and assess the Chinese partners of DB Schenker. The system will evaluate such aspects as the quality of packaging and goods, and its transportation.
Representatives of Vechain reported that DApp is the first application to evaluate suppliers:
“In the future, the system and its related applications can potentially evolve into a platform [that is] widely shared and co-constructed by a broad range of logistics service providers.”
VeChain operates in the field of Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS), which is focused on large corporations.
