Japanese company Line Plus, together with ICON’s cryptocurrency platform, announced the launch of a system based on Blockchain technology. It is reported that the system was called Unchain.
Earlier this year, Line launched Blockchain Unblock in South Korea, which allowed integrating the technology into the company’s cross-market system. It is worth noting that Line is a subsidiary of Naver. Accommodation Line in Tokyo is associated with the need to avoid competition with Kakao.
As reported in the press release, the Unchain and Unblock systems will be integrated into one system based on Blockchain ICON. The general director of the project Unchain noted that the launch of the project will allow bringing dApp-services to the mass market:
“The rise of these services is expected to catalyze the growth of LINE and the ICON blockchain ecosystem.”
It should be noted that the ICON token is included in the 20 largest digital coins on Coinmarketcap. The cost of the coin is 3.78 US dollars.
